Mid Penn Champs Info

Friday, February 9th
Van leaves high school at 1:15
Swimmers and coaches arrive- 2:30 pm
Coaches enter the pool area- 2:40
Swimmers enter the pool area- 2:45
Warm ups- starting at 3:10 (schedule will be given to me after entries are in)
Doors open for spectators to enter building- 3:00 pm
Tickets will start to be sold- 4:00 pm
First event will start- 5:00 pm

200 Medley Relay
200 Free
200 IM
50 free
100 fly
200 free relay
Saturday, February 10th
Van leaves the high school 7:15
Swimmers and coaches arrive- 8:30 am
Coaches enter the pool area- 8:40 am
Swimmers enter the pool area- 8:45 am
Warm ups- Starting at 9:10 am
Doors open for spectators to enter building- 9:00 am
Tickets will start to be sold- 10:00 am
First event will start- 11:00 am
Event order on Saturday:
100 free
500 free
100 back
100 breaststroke
400 Freestyle relay

The top eight swimmers go to the podium. Please be sure to bring your warm ups in case.
Admissions
$6.00 for adults and $4.00 for students
Programs
There will be programs available for purchase- $5.00
There will be a concession stand

Announcements for week of 1/05


  • Monday 2/05: Swim meet against Tyrone. Swimmers will be dismissed at 2:45 and the bus will leave at 3. We will be stopping at Subway to eat before the meet since it does not start until 6 pm. Please dress up for this. 
  • Wednesday 2/07: Home swim meet against Hollidaysburg at 6 pm. Please be at the YMCA by 4:30. This is our last dual meet of the season. 
  • Thursday 2/08: Polar Plunge entries due.
  • Friday 2/09: 1st day of Mid Penn Champs swimmers dismissed at 1:00, van will leave at 1:15.
  • Saturday 2/10: 2nd day of Mid Penn Champs the van will leave the high school at 7:15 am.

Announcements for week of 1/29-2/2

Monday 1/29- Dryland from 6:15 to 7:15 am.
Tuesday 1/30- SENIOR MEET against Central Dauphin. Parents of seniors please plan to be at this meet to escort your swimmer during the presentation. This is a home meet. Juniors please report to the Y a half an hour early to help decorate the pool. Everyone else please be at the Y by 4:30. Stretching begins at 4:45 and warm ups begin at 5. Meet starts at 6.
Wednesday 1/31- Last day of dryland for the season 6:15-7:15
Thursday 2/01- Away swim meet against Cumberland Valley. Swimmers need to dress up for this meet. Swimmers will be dismissed at 1:45 and the bus will leave at 2. Meet begins at 4:15. We will eat somewhere on the way home.
Friday 2/02- Mid penn entries are due. I will be talking to swimmers over the week to see who wants to be entered. Swimmers either participate in the mid penn championships or the Polar Plunge they cannot compete in both.

Announcements for week of 1/15/18


  • Monday, Wednesday, and Friday there will be dryland practice in the morning from 6:15-7:15.
  • Tuesday is our away meet against Cumberland Valley. Swimmers must dress up for this! This means no jeans for both boys and girls. Girls may wear a nice shirt/sweater and nice dress pants or a dress as long as it follows the MCSD dress code. Boys may wear a nice dress pant such as khakis and a nice shirt with a tie.
  • Swimmers will be dismissed at 1:45 and the bus will leave a 2:00. Meet starts at 4:15.
